3 Great Vietnamese Restaurants in Saigon

3 Great Vietnamese Restaurants in Saigon

As the largest city in the country, it goes without saying there is no shortage of places to eat in Saigon. Most meals, whether from a lowly street seller or a high class restaurant will be spectacular, but we've listed some of our favourites below.

  1. Quan An Ngon, Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, District 1

The story goes that the entrepreneur behind this restaurant collected his favourite street vendors together to create a restaurant, where each chef prepares the same delicacy they have made every day of their lives - clearly they are the professionals! The restaurant is set in a very attractive old villa and its courtyard, with lots of green plants and fans to keep you cool in the tropical heat. It's very reasonably prices and so is a great place to order many dishes and sample some of the best Vietnam has to offer!

  2. Bun Ta, Nam Ky Khoi Ngia, District 1

Literally just next door to Quan An Ngon, Bun Ta also deserves a visit for its huge selection of rice noodle (bun) dishes - as they say outside, 'everything is bun'!
Try the Bun Cha or Bun Thit Nuong for a special treat.

  3. Com Nieu Saigon, Ho Xuan Huong Street, District 3

Well known and respected throughout Saigon, Com Nieu Saigon offers some fantastic dishes and never fails to satisfy. Among its fans are Anthony Bourdain, the top chef and TV presenter.
